Voice Acting Audition: Natural Speech Project (UK)
Location: Alpha Studios, Farringdon, London (In-person) Rate: $100 USD per hour (Paid directly by the Client)
Overview Alpha Studios is seeking individuals for a one-day recording project for a major Artificial Intelligence development project. We are looking for authentic, natural voices to help train next-generation speech technology. We are not looking for professional actors; we are looking for real people with natural speaking styles.
Requirements
- Language: English (First language).
- Accents: Regional accents from England, Scotland, N. Ireland, and Wales (All ages welcome).
- Style: Natural, clear, and believable emotional expression. Please use your natural speaking accent.
- Availability: One full day (approx. 9 AM – 5 PM). Weekdays or weekends available.
Project Details
- Location: Recording will take place at Alpha Studios in London.
- Travel: Participants are responsible for their own travel costs to the studio.
- Usage: All recordings (audition and session) will be used solely for AI training purposes. No voice cloning will occur.
- Contract: If selected, you will sign a direct contract with the Client regarding privacy and usage.
How to Audition Please send a message expressing interest to the address below. We will share a form consisting of two parts to applicants passing our initial screen. The form will have the following sections:
- Personal Details: Please be sure to select “Alpha Studios” in the “Opportunity Suggester” field.
- Voice Sample: Read two short text passages and record a 1-minute spontaneous talk on a provided topic.
- Callback: If you pass the first step, you will receive an email with a callback request. This will be a short call where you have to speak to them or to another random applicant about some topics they select.
If you pass the audition, they will ask for your availability to come to London for the recording session and send you a date for that along with a contract you need to sign. If you want to check the contract in advance of the audition, contact Alpha.
Note: Do not overthink the audition! We are looking for natural, everyday speech, not professional acting performances.
